A comment was made to me by a nurse who has known Logan since his newborn-ish days that I look to be handling this all very well and that she doesn’t know what she would do under the same circumstances. It didn’t register at the time, but I can giggle about it now.
Seriously, the exterior might be calm, collected and capable, but if you ever get a chance to look into my eyes, make no mistake that you’ll see a LOT of crazy behind the cool facade.
I wonder what in the heck the Lord was thinking when he gave me, (the overly anxious, panic-attack ridden, hospital phobic, anti-germ, hypochondriac!), this beautiful child who relies on me to be none of the above?! Let’s just say that I’ve learned a lot about myself and am getting less of all those things as I age and as I parent Logan.
A funny aside, when trying to remember hypochondriac, all I could think of was hermaphrodite. (Which I am not!) But it almost got posted. Now THAT would’ve been funny.
